Ballet

Ballet first started is the 1300’s or 15th century, it wasn’t very popular so it died down. It started back up again in the 1500’s to entertain King Louis, it was the most popular dance ever since. A French man named Louis Spandau started ballet. He became more famous in the 14th.

It was further developed in the French Court from the time of Louis the 14th in the 17th century. When Louis the 14th was in power he made everyone walk on their tiptoes, because to him he thought it made them look more elegant. Ballet became so popular because of Louis the 14th he had a lot of ballets at versatile, and would dance sometimes.

Eighteen

There is a place where I am eighteen,
where terrible jokes and dirty look,
sing all night.
I fly a kazoo,
And play with egg yolks all night.

Lisa Del Giocando

Lisa Del Giocando

Around the 1500’s lived a beautiful lady named Lisa. She had a house that looked like the most magnificent little cottage there ever was. She loved skipping through the fields of wild flowers. Now, Lisa was no ordinary girl. She was the very person that would soon become the spectacle in the eye of every person today.

On Sunday November the 5th Lisa was at home, and her husband asked her if she wanted to get a painting maid of her. Lisa was shocked and happy, so after about a week she said, “Yes that would be wonderful to get a painting made of me Richard,” The next day, they both went out to try to find a talented artist. They searched and searched for weeks and couldn’t find anyone. About a day later, they found a distant uncle of Lisa’s. His name was Leonardo de Vinci. Leonardo was the most respected artist in the country Bolivia.

When Leonardo got to Paris, he met up with Lisa and Richard. Richard told Leonardo about what they wanted the painting to look like. He told Leonardo that the painting would be of Lisa in the country side, and for it to be painted on a canvas. But Leonardo thought that it would be better for it to be painted on a wooden plank. Lisa and Richard agreed. While Leonardo was painting the picture, he asked if they would like to call it the Mona Lisa which Mona means beautiful in Spanish. They thought it was a great idea. Within the next 7 years, it was finished. Lisa was so amazed by how it turned out. They hung it in their country side cottage for all their lives where it still hangs till this day.
